Getting started

Enable uploads on a product, add the theme block, and customers attach files on your storefront. You review them under Files in the app. If something needs fixing, create an Ask-for-file link.

No. Install the app, open it from Shopify admin, sync products, and add the upload block in the theme editor.

UploadFlow works on Shopify plans that support embedded apps. Some checkout extensions may require plans with those Shopify features enabled.

Uploads & review

Primarily on the product (and optionally cart) page. Ask-for-file / portal links are a backup when you need a customer to replace a file after review.

AI & storage

On Pro, AI can flag issues like low DPI, blur, or wrong color mode while the customer is still uploading — so they can replace the file before checkout.

Customer uploads are stored on S3-compatible object storage (Cloudflare R2 in production, or local disk for development). Shopify Files is not used.

Billing

Free: 25 uploads/month and 500 MB storage. Pro: unlimited uploads, 10 GB storage, AI validation, OCR, and public API.

Open Plans in UploadFlow and choose Downgrade to Free. That cancels Pro through Shopify Billing. You can upgrade again anytime without reinstalling.

Privacy

UploadFlow implements Shopify’s mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) and retains only data needed for upload workflows.
